Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Gradient AI Labs ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Rishal, collects when you use our website, and how we use it.

1. What we collect

  • Waitlist signups: your email address, if you join the waitlist.
  • Account information: if you create an account, your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password — only a one-way cryptographic hash of it).
  • Course progress: which sessions you've marked complete, tied to your account (or stored only in your browser if you don't create an account).
  • Payment information: if you purchase a paid course, payment is handled entirely by our payment processor (currently Razorpay). We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, but we do not receive or store your full card or bank details — those go directly to the payment processor.

2. How we use it

  • To give you access to course content and remember your progress.
  • To notify you (if you've joined the waitlist or created an account) about program launches, pricing, and relevant updates.
  • To respond if you contact us for support.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. Cookies & local storage

If you don't create an account, your course progress is saved in your browser's local storage rather than on our servers — it stays on your device and isn't sent to us. If you sign in, a secure login cookie keeps you signed in between visits.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third parties to run the Service; each may process limited data on our behalf, only as needed to provide their service:

  • Hosting (Vercel) — serves the website.
  • Database (Neon/Postgres) — stores account, progress, and waitlist data.
  • Payments (Razorpay) — processes payments when you purchase a course. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment details.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, email us at the address below and we'll remove it.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data — passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text), and login sessions use signed, secure cookies. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we treat your data carefully.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for students at the undergraduate level and above. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service grows. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
